Maybe do away with the factory trans cooler in the radiator and run an external cooler. Ill try and think what else you might need. Find a 5.3L using the same operating system and swap the engine segments. I did that when my buddy put a 6.0L in his truck. It already had an 0411 I had tuned. I swapped the tune from a 5.7L/4L60E to a 6.0L/4L80E. Personally I would go bigger than a 5.3L in truck but that is me. I would just get a LS style 4L60E at a minimum. Personally I would ditch the 60E and get a 4L80E though. You could probably trade off the LS1 for an iron 6.0L too, which would work better for the swap.
