Use an impact and it'll go right in on both the governor arm hole and the pressed in shaft hole (no need for a tap) you can knock the shaft out with a punch going in towards the block. You don't need to remove the gear. It all comes out as one. Use a 7/16×20 or 7/16×14 tap for the oil sensor hole. I prefer 7/16×20 for the fine thread.As I would have thought the governor was still intact as well as the oil sensor. After looking at it today I wouldn't be worried at all about it coming out under use as just trying to get it out by force was hard enough. There is not only the bolt holding it in but also a pin holding the arm on.IMO one pull starts is one of the best things about the GX200 and the clones that came after. When the original linkage is removed to eliminate governor behavior you are starting the bike with the throttle completely closed. IMO, the two are completely different things. A governor works to limit RPMs. A throttle stop works to limit power. So if you back out the throttle stop and gain RPMs, it is because the engine is making more power and you are still under the governor setting.
